การพิจารณาและประยุกต์ใช้งาน
จากผลการศึกษาที่ได้ทำการทบทวนโครงการก่อสร้างสะพานข้ามแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาบริเวณแยกเกียกกาย ซึ่งที่ปรึกษาได้พิจารณาแล้วพบว่าเป็นแนวเส้นทางที่ใกล้เคียงกับแนวเส้นทางของโครงการที่ทำการศึกษา ดังนั้นที่ปรึกษาจะนำโครงการต่างๆ ที่ได้ถูกเสนอตามแผนการพัฒนาทางหลวงพิเศษระหว่างเมืองดังกล่าวมาพิจารณาประกอบในการศึกษาทั้งในด้านเศรษฐกิจ วิศวกรรมและสิ่งแวดล้อม และปรับแก้ในส่วนของการจัดทำการมส่วนร่วมเพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการจัดการโครงการต่อไป

สรุปสาระสำคัญ

(3) ถนนวงแหวนรอบนอกด้านใต้ ช่วงบางพลี-บางขุนเทียน
ปัจจุบันก่อสร้างแล้วเสร็จ และเปิดให้บริการครบทั้ง 3 ส่วนแล้ว แต่ยังคงมีการควบคุมการเข้า-ออกที่สมบูรณ์เพียงส่วนเดียว คือ ถนนวงแหวนรอบนอกด้านใต้ ซึ่งจัดเก็บค่าผ่านทางด้วยระบบปิด และกรมทางหลวงได้ทำการออกแบบระบบจัดเก็บค่าผ่านทางแบบปิดสำหรับถนนวงแหวนรอบนอกด้านตะวันออก รวมถึงการออกแบบรายละเอียดการปรับปรุงทางแยกต่างระดับบางปะอินให้มีความต่อเนื่องกับถนนวงแหวนรอบนอกด้านตะวันตกแล้วเสร็จ ยังคงเหลือเพียงถนนวงแหวนรอบนอกด้านตะวันตก ช่วงจากบางขุนเทียน-บางปะอินเพียงส่วนเดียวที่อยู่ระหว่างการศึกษาความเหมาะสมด้านเศรษฐกิจ วิศวกรรม และผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม ในการพัฒนาให้เป็นระบบทางหลวงพิเศษแบบสมบูรณ์
